Scott LaCoste Construction

Home Builder in Pace, FL

Pace is growing fast, and it's where we build most of our homes, on wooded acreage instead of stacked lots.

Pace

Pace is where Scott LaCoste Construction builds most of its homes. The Pace community has grown fast, adding new subdivisions, new schools, and new neighbors every year, and we've grown right along with it. We build on wooded acreage instead of tight subdivision lots, which is the main reason buyers come to us instead of a production builder closer to the coast. If you're looking at land in Pace, or a home that's already under construction, this is the market we know best, street by street.

Building in Pace

Pace is an unincorporated community in Santa Rosa County, with an estimated population near 26,900 in 2026, up about 23% since 2020. That growth shows up in new schools and new subdivisions, including Soundside High School, opening in fall 2026 to serve the area's growing student population. We're currently building three homes in Pace: one in Sage Forest, a gated subdivision with wooded homesites from 1.5 to 15 acres, and two more along the Segrest Rd corridor. Pace sits about 15 minutes from NAS Whiting Field, which brings a steady flow of military families and civilian contractors looking to build here instead of closer to the base itself, where lots tend to run smaller and more expensive.

Lots and land

Pace still has room to build on real acreage, which is the main reason buyers come to us instead of a production builder working a denser subdivision. Sage Forest lots range from 1.5 to 15 wooded acres inside a gated community, and we're also holding and building along the Segrest Rd corridor. If you already own a lot in Pace, we'll walk it with you and build there; if you don't, we can talk through what's currently available and what it would take to get you into a home on it. Either way, the conversation starts with the land itself, not a sales brochure.

Why buyers pick Pace

Pace offers real acreage close to Pensacola and Whiting Field without the density you'd find on the coast. School growth, including a new high school opening in 2026, and steady population growth both point toward continued demand here. We build in Pace because it's local to us: our office is in Pace, and we're on these job sites regularly, not driving in from another county to check on a crew. That local presence matters when something needs a quick decision mid-build.

What's the drive time from Pace to NAS Whiting Field?

About 15 minutes, which is one reason Pace draws buyers connected to the base.
